Socialite Adventures Last minute plans are always the BEST! I was minding my own business and about to go out to dinner with my mom when I received an email from Chicago Blogger Network to go to the Windy City Live (a morning television show here in Chicago) one year anniversary party. My mom LOOOOOOVES that show, watches it every morning as she does the elliptical, so I just had to take her for sure.
What an EPIC evening it turned out to be (haha, I'm corny, the name of the place that we went to was called Epic)! The food was divine (prime rib sliders, spicy crab corn cake balls, caramel cheesecake), awesome drinks (Svedka vodka sponsored the drinks so there were specialty cocktails provided by them), and super cool beautiful people. Score!
Val Warner, the co-host for Windy City Live. How GORGEOUS is she? Just stunning
Mama with Ji Suk Yi from the show
As I was tweeting from the event, fellow blogger BrownGirl. was in attendance and tweeted that we had to meet and say hello! Of course, love it :) She's the girl with the awesome hair in the purple skirt. Niki from the show Chicagolicious was way too fly as well (girl in the denim dress). AJ from Chicagolicious was caliente in his suit but I didn't get a pic with him *pouts*. I want to set up an interview with him for the site because he's hilarious so watch out for that!
Model Kimberly who was the blonde in the advertisement that she is holding from CS Magazine. Super sweet girl.

Life is so full of coincidences. I saw this girl and was like OMG, love her cute leopard dress, we can be jungle girls, must take photos! Rawwwr. We take the pic and I'm thinking that she looks so familiar and we exchange cards...Turns out it was one of my buddies from a decade ago when I was a freshman in high school, Marian Catholic girls :D It was very cool to run into her and catch up a bit. Love ya, Val!
All in all, it was such a good evening, especially as it was SO unexpected! One minute no plans, the next minute having the time of our lives. Living the socialite dream :)
