Makeup Trends Fall and Winter 2011

As we come closer to the dark and cold winter evenings that the year of 2011 will soon have to offer, we move towards an influx of new and fresh make-up trends. There is nothing like a new season to spice up your look. So what make-up looks should you be wearing this winter in order to earn major fashion points?

Overall nude make-up:

It seems that looking like you are wearing no make-up is in fact the way to go this winter. Fresh face and fabulous is taking over, and the less-is-more effect seems to be winning.

Thick eyebrows:
In keeping with the natural aspect of nude make-up is the incoming popularity of thick eyebrows. Expect masculine trends to be dominating everywhere this winter and through thick eyebrows you are implementing this trend to perfection. Make your eyebrows stand out with a definitive shape and add extra boldness to them with an eye pencil.

Vampy lips:

Deep, bold, and vampy lips will make a signature statement this winter. Try plums, violets, deep reds, and even blacks to create that stand out look. Wearing a stand out lipstick color will allude to confidence and will be sure to dominate any outfit.

Warm colors:

As it is likely to be cold outside, you can warm yourself up with colors that exude warmth such as orange, gold, tan, and toffee. The best way to exert these colors is through a bronzer or eye shadow. In relation to eyes a smokey eye finished off with one of these colors would look particularly alluring.

Sharp eyeliner:

When using an eyeliner pencil pick a bold color, for instance black or a rich brown, and make sure your lines are extremely sharp and sleek. Do not go for a smudgy effect, go for a more striking appearance.

Colorless lips:

If you are not going to go for a vampy and bold lip effect then the other option is to wear no color on your lips at all. Pink and pretty is well and truly out this season, as are most things girly to be fair. By keeping your lips bare you are creating a natural charm and a more boyish effect which as said is very in keeping with this season’s coming trends.

Big and bold:

Either go bold or do not go at all; that’s the mantra of this seasons trends. If you are going to create an impact you need to go for striking and sleek looks, avoid gloss and avoid smudging. If you do not fancy a deep colored lipstick or a thick eyeliner lid then keep completely natural and go for an understated charm.

All in all this seasons trends are certainly exciting ones that contrast in a vast manner. The two main choices basically differ between going all out or keeping completely simple. Obviously it will depend on what you are wearing to what make-up you go with. Switch over to confidence and masculinity, as "pretty" is out this season.
