Get that Beauty Rest - Glo to Sleep

When I've been trying to get to sleep lately, I can not seem to turn my mind off.  Whether I'm thinking about work, stressing over bills, worrying about finding a new apartment, all of that random mess, my brain has just been ON and sleep has been OFF.

I was offered the chance to try a new sleep therapy mask and HECK YES I agreed because I am in dire need of peaceful rest.  Called Glo to Sleep, it is a unique sleep therapy mask device that utilizes a specially designed light system inside the mask, called Points of Glo, to slow brain activity, achieve an alpha wave brain state and begin deep, natural and restorative sleep quickly and easily.  No wires or batteries; just expose the mask to any light source for approx 30 seconds, put on, look up into the eye pieces and hold gaze on the Points of Glo while breathing deeply and...the last thing you'll remember upon waking from a fantastic sleep is looking up at the lights.

It's very relaxing, I've been using it for a couple of nights and the soothing lights are fabulous.  Basically it shuts out all of the outside nuisances and envelopes you in darkness with tiny dots of blurry light that make you drowsy and induce alpha wave sleep.

This would be particularly cool for those of you who love to have the tv on before going to bed; it can still give you a wee bit of light therapy without the distraction and noise of an actual tv set.  There's a really soft glow about it.

I'm really excited to take it on trips as I feel that it would be BRILLIANT for plane rides because I'm always taking a nap on planes but hate the light that is often on or that the sun is coming through the window.  No batteries either, just hold it up to any type of light source for 30 seconds and it starts to glow blue light.

Have you ever tried anything like Glo to Sleep, any sleep therapy (sounds, lights, etc)?  What's your favorite way to get a good night's sleep?
