Exfoliating Sugar Scrub or Salt Scrub: Which To Choose?
A friend once told me that when it comes to dieting, there are three food groups that offer greater temptation -- bread, sugar and salt -- but most people crave only two out of three. So far everyone I’ve asked has an easy time choosing her two favorites, so maybe that’s true.
When it comes to exfoliation, though, salt and sugar always top the list. Some people like making their own scrubs with oatmeal, but most of us have enough to do already without adding more work.
I’ve never been able to decide which skin care product is better, a salt scrub or a sugar scrub. It turns out each one has advantages:
Salt Scrub Benefits
• Not sticky
• Dries up oil from acne
• Smoothes callused skin
• Good for dry, rough areas
Sugar Scrub Benefits
• Never stings
• Won’t dry out your skin
• Soft & gentle on your face
• Breaks down dead skin cells
So there are times when you want a salt scrub, especially if you’re showing off your heels or elbows or other not-always-beautiful areas. But if you want more consistent exfoliation, keeping your skin soft and smooth as well as moisturized, a sugar scrub is the way to go.
Especially when it’s one of the four Vitabath Exfoliating Sugar Scrubs. Right up front, the ingredients sound delicious -- sugar granules along with coconut oil, sunflower and macadamia seed oil, and shea butter. Then some vitamins and aloe vera alongside all those tasty nutrients makes the scrub even better for your skin.

Because the Vitabath scrubs are gentle enough to use every day -- even on your face! -- they work really well for people with sensitive skin. And if you like variety, you can alternate among four different fragrances to suit your mood:
* Original Spring Green with bold patchouli and pine
* Fresh Citrus Twist with bright, vibrant citrus flavors
* Spa Skin Therapy with invigorating ocean freshness
* Plus for Dry Skin with soothing jasmine and soft musk
Try any or all of them and see how much more smooth, hydrated and soft your skin is after just a few exfoliations. Sweet!
