28 Black Beauty,
Beauty,
Makeup To celebrate Black History Month, I am doing a series of daily makeup looks featuring black beauties throughout the ages! Each day, I'll post a lovely lady and do a recreation of the makeup look in the photo; this will go on for all 28 days of February/Black History Month.
Day 24: They call her Janet, Miss Jackson if ya NASTY! Named Artist of the Decade for the 90s, this pop diva comes from a legacy of superstars (duh, unless you've lived under a rock your whole life! Seriously, what's in that family's dna??). With over 100 million albums sold, Miss Jackson has been in our entertainment lives from the 70s when she appeared on her brothers' (you may have heard of them, the Jackson 5?) variety show and then on Good Times as little Penny. She went on to hone an amazing career in the pop/R&B world, the female counterpart to her uber-famous-superstar brother Michael.

She is the queen of the bronze smoky eye, so I wanted to do that look. I've never done this look on myself quite this way, so it was cool to test out.
Products used:
-Stila Natural Beauty Eye Shadow Palette - Amber and Apricot mixed on the lid then covered with vaseline to give it a sheen like she has in the first image. Merlot from the palette is the dark color on the crease area.
-Urban Decay Pencil in Whiskey (dark brown) lining the lower lid
-Stila kajal liner in onyx lining the upper lash line
-Victoria's Secret Uninhibited lipstick

(peep that red hair? WAAAAAAAY before anyone knew who a Rihanna was)
