28 Days of Black Beauty - Grace Jones

28 Black Beauty,
Beauty,
Makeup To celebrate Black History Month, I am doing a series of daily makeup looks featuring black beauties throughout the ages! Each day, I'll post a lovely lady and do a recreation of the makeup look in the photo; this will go on for all 28 days of February/Black History Month.
Day 3: 80s icon Grace Jones was the inspiration for today's black beauty recreation. Fierce, androgynous, cool, sexy, glam...really, what doesn't describe this awesome lady? Actress, singer, model, she made her mark on the world with her songs and roles in movies, even appearing in a Bond film! She was a muse to Andy Warhol, Studio 54 regular, and just all around groovy chick.

This was by far one of the most fun look to recreate! My mom is about as sophisticated preppy as they come, more St. John than rocker chick, so it was incredibly interesting to turn her into an 80s glam bad ass Grace Jones!
